A deeper dive into reality.
A deeper dive into reality, awareness, identity, knowing and love:
Having (mostly – you never know) 😉 abandoned identity and personal belief, I’ve come to recognize that there is an abiding knowing, which, in words, could be described as “I AM,” but it is even closer than that. That knowing may yet be coloured by body/mind sense perception; however, in deeper looking, there is, at bottom, pure beingness. Reality. Awareness. There is an unfolding of an ever-new’ depth in being, as Jean Klein pointed out: “You live this silence in identity, not in duality but in oneness.”
~ Here are a few more relevant quotes happened upon that you may enjoy, per Nisargadatta:
“What is perceived in pure awareness, unaffected by desire and fear, is fact.”
“All thinking is in duality. In identity, no thought survives.”
Q: If I am eliminated, what will remain?
“Nothing will remain, all will remain. The sense of identity will remain, but no longer identification with a particular body. Being-awareness- love, will shine in full splendour.”
“The state of identity is inherent in reality and never fades..it is what remains when all self-identification is given up as false.”
“When you know what you are, you also are what you know. Between knowing and being there is no gap..You must be, to know..Being, knowing, and enjoying are your own”
There is this constant knowing, this direct sense of being, of primal existence a priori of body/mind experience. That IAMness is a knowing that’s paradoxically, not a personal identity, but a being identity – awareness of simply being aware.
“Identity is reality, Reality is identity. Reality is not a shapeless mass, a wordless chaos. It is powerful, aware, blissful. ” (Nisargadatta) What I AM is unknown and a constant revelation in aware living as it happens. In love, loving, there is silence in action, and that’s all that can be spoken about the unspeakable.
Love, and be well. 🙂
