A footnote about attention and acting from real love.
The advent of another gigantic statue of Trump perhaps brings a larger perspective to these times we’re living in. Indeed, these events are a call for an aware clarity that arises from attention. And to love and act from there, every day, yes.
One needs to be in right relationship, in fidelity to reality; to act from one’s own innate clarity and charity, not from the limited, cultivated and mechanical ‘creature’ that’s causing so much havoc and suffering. Even – and especially – in functional matters of food, clothing and shelter, there’s a need to be and act sustainably; to act not from projected belief and separation, but from real self-recognition that’s not merely, individually and collectively, me-centric. There’s no personal ‘me’ that reacts in aware living; what acts is what we subtly and essentially are, not what we’re conditioned to think/feel we are. Real and appropriate action in relationship comes only from deep self-knowing, love. 🙂
