Aware living in fidelity to reality.

In aware living in fidelity to reality, anything can happen and does. There’s little to no interest in the false, in stories perpetuating yesterdays and tomorrows; in beliefs once they’re seen, in pretending, desiring, fearing, and participating in all the mind’s rendered ‘problems.‘ Stuff happens, and there’s no control, no controller; there’s (usually) an appropriate response and/or no response. One freely moves about the metaphorical plane cabin without a seat belt on and doesn’t know or care to know or think much – just to watch, to listen. There’s an unattached, compassionate involvement. That’s it, that’s all.
There’s a frequent pausing while shopping or on hikes; my wife says I should wear a T-shirt with a back that says: ‘CAUTION Makes Frequent Stops!’ 😉 And the aging body seems to have its mild mutterings and murmurings more; the inner ‘me’ muses and music goes on too. Indeed, one is more broadly aware of life’s winds and airs and sundry vital subtleties.
There’s a fresh-tasting, gently curious and variously intense experiencing of what’s happening here, now. All else is…irrelevant, unless and until it’s happening. Mind-wise, it’s quiet and uncontested inside (mostly) but things and events can and do surprise, dismay, disturb and often delight.
In fine, in aware living, there’s a constant discovering – one never knows! And there’s a deepening gratitude, beauty, peace, and joy in simply being.
That which we are – Love, loving – is all that’s really happening here, yes.
Love, and be well. 🙂
