AWARENESS IN A NUTSHELL.
“Awareness takes the place of consciousness; in consciousness, there is the ‘I’, who is conscious, while awareness is undivided; awareness is aware of itself. The ‘I am’ is a thought, while awareness is not a thought; there is no “I am aware” in awareness…one can be aware of being conscious, but not conscious of awareness. God is the totality of consciousness, but awareness is beyond all.” ~Nisargadatta
~ It seems any insight into reality can and must effortlessly ‘happen’, via the graceful apparent ‘dawning‘ of awareness – the non-sentient ‘non-experience’ that is not body/mind (consciousness) based. Reality IS. It is not an experience with its experiencer, or a concept with its conceiver or a belief with its believer. Ideas are personal and conditioned; they propose, label, and, when believed, pretend to ‘know’, but are always limited to re-presenting and symbolism. Binary thinking compares and contrasts, sifts and sorts data, and in so doing, divides or separates, ‘apparently’.
Pure, unconditioned awareness – that profound unsharable recognition, is the timeless ‘reality’ that the word merely indicates; it’s about a fact, not a concept-about-a concept. Beyond mind, unattached, choiceless awareness, aka reality, is one’s Being-nature. Love. 🙂
