Beauty in letting thought go, in living truth.

Most of us, most of the time, hear but really don’t listen, look but really don’t see; we meet incoming facts with outgoing fictions, fancies and sundry filters; with already knowing; with yesterday’s opinions founded on hidden desires and fretful fears. That’s life and the non-living of it, yes. 😉  Fortunately, there’s some who are open and opening, who listen and see, who recognize that all words (thought) are indeed merely pointers, symbols and representations of underlying non-personal facts, aka, truth in being.
The following quotes from J Krishnamurti appeared in my email this morning; they ring true regarding the experiencing of aware living and perhaps they will resonate with you too. All three arrived separately on the same day; their combined theme of life and letting go seems significant for those of us who are sincerely exploring life not as we want, think, feel or hope it should, could or will be, but as it is. I’ll leave you to make of them what you will, and perhaps enjoy a little more clarity and peace beyond all worded ‘understanding’:Â
~ We don’t see, because we have opinions about what we see.
~ In the observation of one thought, another thought springs up, and we are reluctant to let the first thought go. So there is a conflict between the first thought and second thought. Self-knowing is to relinquish the first thought and pursue the second thought. Then a third thought arises. Drop the second, follow the third. Drop the third and follow the fourth. So there is a constant alertness or awareness of the movement of thought.
~ When thought dies to itself, when the machinery of memory as thought comes to an end – which is psychological thought, not the mechanical thought of knowledge or technique – then you will find that the thing you are afraid of is not: fear ceases altogether. Then you are living completely, integrally, wholly, from moment to moment, and that is creation.
