BEING AND SELF-IMPROVEMENT.
‘Yourself, myself ‘ – these words denote a somebody who thinks they’re a someone – a private, personal self. A Self that’s lacking, that’s in need of improvement. There’s no such critter. There’s only being. 😉
All ‘beingness’ is, is awareness; only awareness IS. The rest is illusion; its sensations and experiences come and go, apparently. The discovery of being already aware, peaceful, joyful, beautiful, is not an improvement, not a story of becoming. It is a timeless, absolutely choiceless, non-personal fact that’s beyond any relative egoic improvement. That dawning happens after all’s apparently said and done by the supposed ‘person’ with his or her body/brain conditioned notions of life. A freighted living that’s confused, conflicted, competitive, and loaded with suffering, endless desires and fears.
In truth, all one is, is aware, presently, fully, infinitely. Delightfully. And to live free of beliefs, of society, of culturally conditioned suffering is, in a word: beautiful. But one has to deeply and directly explore one’s inner nature, and that’s when passion and curiosity are the movement of something real and larger than personal improvement: grace. Love. Beauty. 🙂
The craze for self-improvement ends when one discovers there’s no personal self; one is no-thing, a beautiful, infinite beingness
