DISTINGUISHING AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS.

{ the sun of being }
~ A caveat: all words only re-present truth symbolically; they’re pointers – emissaries of reality – but not reality itself; they introduce duality and are not to be believed or substituted for direct self-knowing.
In PURE aware being, there is no ‘personal’ attachment to conditioned experience. ‘Experience’ is what the ego/mind has it seems. In purely unattached, infinite awareness, there’s no conditioned personal experience or experiencer. However, in passing, body/mind ‘consciousness’ there’s intimate and loving experiencing of perceptions, conceptions, sensations and appearances freshly arising now.
It’s very subtle: awareness may seem to be sentient consciousness, and consciousness, awareness. The one is timeless, unchanging; the other is a function of the time/space and idea/sense based, changing body/mind. In directly recognizing one ultimately is awareness only, one abides in the pure sun of being – the home of one’s original nature: (in sanscrit) sat-chit-ananda:
Sat The unchanging truth of existence, or being. It represents the limitless, eternal aspect of reality.
Chit The flow of awareness that leads to the knowledge of the Self.
Ananda Bliss or happiness, which signifies the aspects of reality that are characterized by boundless joy, peace, beauty and love. 🙂
