FEAR OF FEAR.
What one IS is seen when one lovingly dismisses the mind’s conditioned and cultivated personal fears as they arise in awareness.
~There are two kinds of fear: Instinctive – food, clothing, and shelter fear arising from our body-born insecurities – and Psychological, mind-made fear. The first is cellular, physical, essential, and best addressed with care and attention; the second is, in reality, optional – stored and maintained in yesterday’s memories, which are only really addressed when they’re directly and always lovingly observed.
The ending of fear.
Fear goes away when we see clear to the bottom of it; when we look directly into it and see it for what it is – an idea, a sensation in the body. It’s a facile attempt by our mind to control what we deeply suspect is not in our control. Once we see we cannot now, and never could, control what our next thought – much less what happens in the world – we move from being suspicious and fearful to realizing that, in fact, we can and do happily live and function in total uncertainty..always have, always will!
That’s the lived dynamic of life: it moves whither it will, with or without our personal, collective executive control. That fact may seem discomforting, but in reality, it isn’t. We come to rest in Being, in benign reality, in love; in a curious unknowing where there’s no fear, where ‘what is’ is what one IS. No more, no less.
Freedom to love what is, as is, without fear, without belief.
That love, aka awareness, is what one IS; it’s seen when and as one lovingly dismisses the mind’s conditioned and cultivated personal fears and beliefs as they arise in awareness. Catch & Release. Catch/release. In that one and only freedom, one is constantly learning to live well and truly in unattached, compassionate watching of all the mind’s activities as they pass in spacious inner quietude – in the dance of daily aware living, aka meditation. Love, and be well.
