[ finding peace in reality, dept. ]
Lately, I talked with a friend whose body is ill; she asked if I had any advise regarding healing; I hesitated, said I really had no medical or nutritional insights to offer, but then, on reflection, two thoughts appeared which seemed useful and practical from my experience, having been applied on several occasions of various ailings of body, head and heart lo these many years: ‘Heal the mind to heal the body’.. in other words: ‘heal the conflicted mind to help heal the afflicted body.’ 🙂 And a way to perhaps help one ‘do’ that: ‘Find a quiet space inside and do something you simply, deeply, love to enjoy’. In fine, Love, applied where it hurts, is the great healer, yes 🙂
In open, spacious aware living, we find we’re always ‘home’ where we live, and love. Our home is as immense as life; it has no confining walls, doors, windows and ceilings. Our foundation is this living reality; there’s no room and no time here for stories, fleeting fears and fancies, regrets, pregrets and theories about real life.
In fact, in ego-free, nonpersonal living, we enjoy actually, clearly, seeing and knowing our natural peaceful being-nature: we are that life freely living itself. There’s no control, no need to control; indeed, no controler. In fine, life and the living of it is not personal, and that’s the beauty of it all.
To find yourself in the quietude of this moment, in your innate peace, start again – anytime – day or night, with a little space and delight – take a moment, sit and rest here in the wide openness of now, and simply let everything come and go exactly as it happens. Here’s a taste of our native “Peace of wild things” with Wendell Berry.. enjoy your self: https://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=8805…
