FINDING PEACE: LOOKING INTO WHAT IS.
Words can ‘speak’ from mind-to-mind and/or, in some seemingly rare context, from awareness-to-awareness.
It’s essential to directly see that what one IS, is before and beyond any and all body/mind form and function as ‘experience.’ One has to look beyond all the mind’s binary, conceptually repetitive, root-binding beliefs at the ‘looking’, not the looker, so to speak. Listen intimately to that which is listening, etc. – there only is that thoughtless, formless beingness which IS what one is, before the finite mind starts its weaving, its attracting and distracting, appearing and disappearing notions about the reality it can never comprehend with divisive symbolism ie articulate beliefs. As many sages say, earnestness is all that’s essential for inner exploring; my advice to you – ask always to myself – is to ‘Let nothing bind’; keep moving through all pretense of knowing, keep sincerely opening, and what IS will have the space to present itself to itself.
IN OTHER WORDS:
Words can ‘speak’ from mind-to-mind and/or, in some seemingly rare context, from awareness-to-awareness. Perhaps these words address both realms: For me, “The ‘I Am’ belief often expressed as ‘I Am the empty awareness in which all things arise’, is not a ‘belief’ with its believer; not a theory with its thinker. Awareness is a non-conceptual, non-personal fact that can and is only directly realized, not as any event in time and experience. ‘It’ (there is no ‘itness’ in awareness, love, peace, beauty, joy – all word-symbols conjure and relate only to duality, not reality) – it – awareness – happens to present its timeless alert nature aka existence, to an otherwise unoccupied, unknowing mind.
There is no knower and nothing known, but awareness simply IS; to know it is to be it; it’s the wonderful ‘perceiving architecture’ that’s a priori, foundational, necessary, and sufficient for all humans to exist – to function from an ‘I am’ perspective. The ego/mind takes on this false identity through conditioning; a certain ‘believing I am’ arises which seems like a personal fact, but in truth, that ‘I amness’ identity belongs not to the personal but only to the underlying universal. Awareness. Love. Reality.
