Is awareness an experience?
The sense in which I use the pointer “awareness” is that the word represents the absolute, the pure, ultimate subject without an object; the naked essence of that Unknown-because-unknowable, which one is, aka, in another word, Being. Awareness is Being; Being is aware. The brain/mind seeks to know and conclude. In and from awareness, there’s no claim by any knower of anything ‘more’ that’s apparently known. Like the eye which cannot see itself, what more can one know about awareness when it is ultimately all one is? And perhaps there’s no need to endlessly speculate mentally that the ‘beyond’ is something more than awareness.
All one can directly know is there is this presence called ‘awareness’ and it isn’t personal; it isn’t a body/mind sensation, thought, perception or any kind of supposed recognition. It is ‘known’ only by itself. Awareness is not an experience; not an object in nor of, the body/mind. Awareness is that alone which is aware of all experience. Awareness is that infinity which lives – the finite body/mind apparently dies, so to speak. Only awareness is; all else is illusion. 🙂
