Letter to a sensitive heart.
~ I recently watched a young twenty-something man’s imploring video in which he questioned, ‘What is this life about?’ and this response arose, which I’m moved to share here: Love, and enjoy the beautiful flowering of this day. 🙂
I note your sincerity and thank you for it – it will serve you well. Here’s some perhaps useful advice from an 81-year-old who has also had a sensitive way of living and growing and wondering. It seems that what you’re doing with your impromptu video is following the inner urge of love, loving. It’s the key to being content and happy. Watch all the inner and outer happenings from the clarity that your nature – love – is deeply prompting in you. In short, follow your deepest urgings, be open and opening, and let love lead the way.
Every day, in small ways, stop, look, and listen to the facts of this moment as it is happening. Allow yourself to relate, not react. Let society chatter about what doesn’t matter. Deal directly with the actual and factual when you see it, and do what you deeply love. The discovery and delight in one’s connection to our Nature is often missing these days; finding the space and quiet in a woodland hike or a walk in the park, far from the maddening crowd, lets the mind settle each day spaciously. Do what you really enjoy, what you love, and be well. 🙂
