Life is a constant dawning.
Life is not a thing that you learn from somebody. Life is something you listen to, that you understand in a living way, from moment to moment, without accumulating experiences.
When one ceases being fascinated by the content of the mind – by the many yesterdays fragmentally stored in memory – one finds that there’s a constant presence, an aware freshness of Now, that’s all we ever really wanted, that’s richly and truly satisfying.
Therein lies the peace, love, joy and beauty of simply being; it’s a constant letting go, a constant learning; an intimate imbibing of what is exactly as it is, now. There’s a flowing in and as, the flow of life itself. A sailing in and with, the winds as they blow, like a sailor constantly scanning, watching and making saiI changes as the real conditions change. In fine, one’s self-nature is all inclusive – wholly welcoming and receptive. Alive and appropriately responsive.
In fully living, there’s an ongoing recognition that there’s really no one who knows, and nothing to know, but to be. Indeed, the only way to live well and truly and happily, is to be open and opening in this living moment. All there is, is that which is lovingly aware of the whole body/mind’s field of sensations and perceptions now – the humming and buzzing of thoughts, feelings, fears and desires; the sighing, sniffling, favouring and disfavouring of pains and pleasures as they pass, in the light of one’s choiceless, aware being. There alone lies reality and real delight in learning, in living.
In loving it all, as it’s happening, all is well. In truth, one never knows, or needs to know, and that alone is real freedom, yes. 🙂
