LOOKING AND SEEING.
“To know that you do not know is the best.
To think you know when you do not is a disease.
Recognizing this disease as a disease is to be free of it.”

In lovingly, alertly looking, in fully accepting, one (often, but not always) 😉 sees without judgment, without preference, a fuller spectrum of man’s inhumanity, humanity, and divinity. What arises then is something we may call ‘compassion’ – a ‘suffering with” the trials and travails of our self and supposed ‘others.’ And, of course, thankfully, there are many occasions for communal sharing and celebrating of life – people, pets, plants, and all that’s natural and native here on our home planet.
Aware living is not reactionary, habitual, conditioned, and delayed; there’s one instant seeing/acting from what we are: love. There’s no debate, no preference, no denial. All that presents itself to its Self is welcome to come.. and go. Love doesn’t seek to hold, grasp, confine, and control. In its freedom, it frees.
Do I see you actually as you are, whatever you may be, or do I see you through my prejudice? I don’t like you because you are too clever and you know too much – I don’t like you for various reasons. So, likes and dislikes prevent me from looking at you.
