Love springs from inner seeing.
While hiking on the Glenora trail this afternoon, I was delighted to spot an early budding of this forest flower locally called, for its scent, ‘Skunk cabbage,’ or, by me, in sailor speak, ‘a spinnaker flower’, which, like us, will grow out of the mud to a magnifiscent yellow 20-inch bloom in a few weeks.
In like manner, the Spring of one’s spiritual flowering arises in and from the ground of silence.
Silence, constant stillness, is awareness. That is the present ground of peaceful being in which all that happens comes and goes.
~If one really wants to trust, to see ‘what is‘ clearly, look through and beyond personal, habitual knowing; look without labeling.
~“What we are trying to get at is to see something without the word, without thought. To see loneliness without recognition, what takes place? Before, I recognised it, with all its reactions and words; now I look at it without words, therefore without thought. The thing I look at is not separate from the looker, the observer. The word, the recognition, the process of thinking, separates.” ~ J Krishnamurti
