NATURAL WELL-BEING & AGING: A Meeting Invitation
It’s our nature to be happy!
You’re invited to a free, 6 week exploration with friends about life’s most profound and timeless existential questions – “Who am I?” and “What is this?”
This is an unstructured and teacher-less gathering, drawing on some of the core non-dual spiritual principles common to all the major religious traditions and our cultural, social and psychological conventions. We’ll explore our own direct knowing of our self-nature and our relationships.
Part One: (1 hour)
Transformational perspectives to be freely presented and explored together will include:
• Mind and Memory
• Knowledge and Wisdom
• Living and Dying
• Fear and Desire
• Trusting in Self and Others
• Real Freedom and Creativity…
All presented in the spirit of what really makes us happy – our natural well-being based on the fundamentals of Truth, Reality and Love. Taken together, they form the ground of our human and divine experience of life and living in peace and contentment.
Part two (1 hour)
After a short break, each of us is invited to focus in a more personal way by presenting a favorite reading, thought and/or question for exploration.
TIME:
11:00 AM SUNDAYS, SEPT 9, 16, 23 (BREAK) AND OCT. 14, 21, 28.
PLACE:
The gathering will be hosted in north Oakland or Berkeley at the same or different places and posted on nondualityliving.com each week.
As envisioned, this is an experimental and open forum. There is no obligation or commitment whatsoever. Please feel free to invite any family and friends who are interested in non-dual exploration to come at any point.
“Life is like arriving late for a movie, having to figure out what was
going on without bothering everybody with a lot of questions, and
then being unexpectedly called away before you find out how it
ends…The goal of life is to be a vehicle for something higher… Let the world be as it is and learn to rock with the waves.”
~Joseph Campbell, Reflections on The Art of Living
He who is of calm and happy nature will hardly feel the pressure of age, but to him who is of an opposite disposition youth and age are equally a burden.
– Plato
Time, the fear of the unknown, and thought which projects what it wants for tomorrow, are all bound together in one package that spells conflict, separation and misery.
– Ramesh Balsekar
A natural peace comes from shining the light of awareness on our Self nature. That simple, direct seeing leads to an understanding of our human condition from a divine perspective, and the embracing of a life lived in truth, reality and love.
