Normal aware living is acting from love.
In aware living, there’s a gentle quieting – usually first of the mind and then of the body; there’s a plain observing and delighting in, what is, as it is. That which is ‘watching’ is changeless constant awareness; the comings and goings of thoughts, feelings, perceptions and sensations are the flow of consciousness, so to speak. These words are merely pointers toward one’s timeless, universal nature which one recognizes only now.
Awareness includes body/mind consciousness. Over time in aware living, the waves of conflict in consciousness settle down more and more into the ocean of undisturbed awareness. Love. The apparent ‘two’ dissolve into one non-duality and a spacious, non-personal freedom and peacefulness remains as the ground for all the body/mind’s activities in daily loving.
Love – the beating heart of human goodness – might seem hard to find these days, but when we look from love we see plenty of it in glimpses, in every day varieties of its expression: a teenager jumping out of his car in a storm to help an elderly lady [pictured, from Miami Herald news]; a tender squeeze as friends part at the bus stop; a cafe door – and a heart – held wide open for a stressed stranger; a teacher greeting a weary mom, child in hand; a workers simple smile like sunshine passed along an assembled bus line; a listening ear at the street corner that eases and comforts a confused child; a warm cops voice that gives shelter to an anxious mind; a pet parrot talking nonsense on a mans bike while getting fed a few seeds held by a shaky hand…all that, and much more, when one looks with loving attention. 🙂
Love’s normal really – fighting is a habit, our nature is peace. It’s easy to spot all day, every day and everywhere, when you love. Love and enjoy your self. 🙂
