NOTHING REAL, LIKE AWARE LOVE, IS PERSONAL.

~ It seems that despite the current strutting egoic aversion to quotes, I keep stumbling on them like found jewels to be delightfully displayed. They present themselves like cool, clear water to a thirsty heart and head – you know, the quotes both visual and conceptual that open the heart and mind to home truths or perhaps vast vistas, or ones that maybe cut like a razor to get to that same rejoyceful place of renewed recognition that’s not freighted with the personal; not a ‘truth’ that hits home because feared or favoured, but profoundly. Universally. Essentially. Actually.
Here are a few such word-smithed insights that strike these cords from supposed ‘others’ who nailed that which in truth is unspeakable and unknowable except to one who rests in silence and unattached observation; in the innate peace of simply being peace; in the beauty of reality that’s enjoined and celebrated in and as this oneness one IS – love, loving.
Oh, and here are a few photos that touch that ground too, perhaps. Enjoy. Perhaps you, too, have been moved today by some insightful quote or photo and will share it here. 🙂
~* “There is constant change in our manners, the way we behave, the way we talk, and one asks oneself if one can always behave the same, under whatever circumstance – inwardly always being the same, undisturbed, not depending on what people say, do or think, so that you are behaving not on what people think, how people look at you, how people consider you, but always from within. That is still more difficult because one doesn’t know what one is within, where there is also a constant change going on. Find for oneself a way of behaving under all circumstances, a way which is not dictated by others, society, religious sanctions or by circumstances, but beyond all that, find out if one can behave in a way that doesn’t depend on environment. One can find that out if one knows what love is.”
~ J Krishnamurti, 1966
~* “Apart from the pulling and hauling stands what I am,
Stands amused, complacent, compassionating, idle, unitary,
Looks down, is erect, or bends an arm on an impalpable certain rest,
Looking with side-curved head curious what will come next,
Both in and out of the game and watching and wondering at it.”
~ Walt Whitman, Song of Myself, 1892
~* “The ease that I feel when watching butterflies or meditating or drifting to sleep will be my ongoing companion, perhaps even moreso, when I’m dead. Spaciousness and peace… Aren’t these our essential qualities? When the dubious, conditional identity dissipates, delight fills the space.”
