REAL LEARNING IS ONLY NOW AND OFTEN STARTLING.

REAL LEARNING IS ONLY NOW AND OFTEN STARTLING.
It seems that what is of greatest value to many of us in our ‘spiritual journey’ is pretty much always surprising, astonishing, unknown and unexpected, !!! yes.
Indeed, that new found delight is what I stumbled upon again this morning; it’s that which is inspiring this post and invitation to dive a little deeper into the water of truth together.
I first encountered Tony Parsons twenty years ago, and like J Krishnamurti’s writings at that time, Parsons was pretty much incomprehensible, indeed inconceivable. Unbelievable. That said, there is now a broader and deeper realization of a living truth as it presents here and now – not Tony’s Truth, not one’s own or another’s, but that universal common variety which one has to directly observe in one’s self immediately – or not. These days it seems – to turn an old expression on its head – a lot of my former ‘bridges are under the water’; there’s a current of truth above and beyond knowledge which is flowing fresh and free. One discovers it daily, not so much in the gross as in the subtle.
In truth, that which is startling to behold is necessarily ‘new’ to our understanding and apparent experience. It happens to disturb us, to quicken one’s inner established ‘knowing’ to deeper recognitions in unknown being. Perhaps you too will enjoy and be stimulated not only by what Tony says, but by the underlying, unsaid implications that may indeed startle and perhaps start yet another inner revolution. Indeed, as Nisargadatta said: “It is necessary to grow; it is necessary to outgrow.”
That’s the startling movement of love, loving.
