[ war and peace, dept. ]

Perhaps, to find the nearest war – and peace – all we need to do is sit home, turn off, tune in and watch the parade in our mind. After all, it’s the mind that produces all conflict, that makes war and, when not burdened with belief, rests in peace.
To find real peace, all we need to ‘do’ is lovingly move the attention from what’s believed in the mind to what is really happening here and now. In aware living, one simply watches all those hand-me-down culturally conditioned ideas and feelings that prejudge, separate and divide One into many, albeit only conceptually. Let what passes, pass.
PEACE BEGINS AT HOME.
Beliefs are the source of all conflict and the endless wars of personal wanting, when what we really need is to share, to love and engender peace and well-being – beginning where we live, at home, in our head.
ALL WE REALLY NEED
Food, clothing, shelter and let’s add LOVE, ie ‘respect,’ are mutual needs we share and experience globally; they’re our needs-in-common, as a matter of fact. Taken together, at minimum, they may well amount to a kind of peace on earth. 🙂
FACT IS NOT FANCY
Facts are not personal, not what we’d like them to be. The false is always personal it seems. Indeed, the non-facts, the false, the make-believe stuff of our everyday fanciful illusions, is common to Everyman. In fine, our daily living is variously experienced yet always personal.
NO PERSON, NO PROBLEM
It may come as no surprise that as a so-called ‘person’ we’re often – if not constantly – in opposition with the facts of our common experience. Indeed, we argue with the weather, more or less, daily. We all know – or may come to know thru suffering – that when we fight with things as they factually, actually are we can’t be happy and content with what is, yes 🙂 No joy there.
A SPACE FOR GRACE
In quietude, rest here and now in the fullness of simply, openly, choicelessly, being. Indeed, be ‘as a child’ and you will know the peace and joy of your Self-nature. Wonderful, yes.
