Why don’t we wake up?
The voice that resonates, that regenerates,
is not that of another; it is your own being-nature.
Listen closely, love.
Some sages have said that the reason one doesn’t wake up is because one personally, doesn’t want to. Indeed, there’s truth in that, it seems. ‘Who would I be without being me?‘ In these profound matters, there is no substitute for earnestness, for willingness to actually grow and outgrow; to keep outgrowing all the Knowing. Life, reality, can then be met sans preferences, sans filters. Here, love does all the heavy lifting.
One has to be in direct, love-to-love, touch with one’s being-nature. One recognizes that one ‘is’ – not what one thinks, believes, fears and desires; that one is aware directly of actually being awareness with its peace, beauty, love, joy..so to speak, with word symbols. No ‘other’ can tell one that; that is one’s own, and it must be known as a nonpersonal fact is ‘known’. In ‘nonpersonal’ observing, what is presents, as is.
Reality is easy and accessible to perceive if one fully, lovingly, see’s one’s conditioning, one’s labeling of experience as if there’s a “me”, a person, ‘who’ sees, who knows, who controls, who becomes. There is nothing real that’s personal. There is only being.
That “me/mine” deception has to be totally seen through; there has to be a direct recognition of the false as the false, of the conceived, of the believed, of the personal. Only then, from open, not-knowing, from simply being, alertly, lovingly, watching and learning the truth of This moment, can there be that grace, that fidelity with reality. Beauty. Freedom. Peace.
The truth that one is, presents in emptiness. Love.
